Honoring individuals whose humanitarianism and commitment have put opportunity within the reach of children.
Since 1999, this event has recognized members of our community who have spent significant energy and resources to help those less fortunate.
Brass Ring has raised over $13 million dollars to help support the foster youth in UFC's programs.

The Brass Ring Award will be presented to Rob Friedman, Co-Chairman Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.Rob joined Lionsgate in January 2012 following the company’s acquisition of Summit Entertainment, where he served as Co-Chairman and CEO since 2007. He is a dedicated supporter of the Special Olympics movement, including his role as a Founding Member of the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games Organizing Committee for which he currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Rob is also a member of The Friends of The Saban Free Clinic Board.
The Nancy M. Daly Founder's Award will be presented to Wendy Smith Meyer, PH.D. Wendy has been a steadfast friend and supporter of UFC for over a decade and has served on the Board of Directors since 2002, including recently serving as the organization’s Chairman for three years. Wendy was instrumental in launching UFC’s Pathways Transitional Living Program which provides housing and supportive services to emancipated foster youth and is deeply committed to supporting and encouraging all of the youth enrolled in UFC’s programs. Wendy is currently Associate Dean for faculty development and Clinical Associate Professor at the USC School of Social Work, as well as author of "Youth Leaving Foster Care: A developmental, relationship-based approach to practice.”

A Brass Ring to remember at the Beverly Hilton
Over $1.2 million was raised at UFC's 9th Brass Ring Awards Dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Over 400 guests were joined by cast members of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice to pay tribute to two exceptional individuals and celebrate the work of UFC and the incredible accomplishments of the foster youth in our programs. Kate Walsh, Benjamin Bratt, Jessica Capshaw and Chandra Wilson presented Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, with the Brass Ring Award. Michael Milken and Robert A. Daly, Jr., son of UFC's late founder Nancy Daly, presented UFC Board Member Richard Merkin, M.D. with the Nancy M. Daly Founder's Award.
Over $ 1.5 million raised from 8th Annual Brass Ring
Paired with a surprise announcement of a $500,000 major gift from Wallis Annenberg, a grand total of over $2 million was raised to allow UFC to continue its life changing work. It was a special night as we presented Phil Kent, Chairman and CEO of Turner Broadcasting, with the Brass Ring Award and Wallis Annenberg, Chairman and CEO of the Annenberg Foundation, with the Nancy M. Daly Founder's Award.
Brass Ring Raises Over $ 1.7 Million With Heart & Soul
Nearly 600 guests enjoyed an extraordinary evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to honor Julie Chen and Leslie Moonves as they received the Brass Ring Award and UFC Board Member Erin Mulcahy Stein, recipient of the Nancy M. Daly Founder's Award.

Over 500 guests enjoyed an evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to pay tribute to two remarkable women, Maria Shriver and Carol Oughton Biondi. UFC Board Member, Erin Mulcahy Stein, presented her long-time friend Maria Shriver with the Brass Ring Award.
