Cultivate attendees were also thrilled by the opportunity to get cookbooks signed by Emmy Award Winning Food Network star and best selling author, Giada de Laurentiis and acclaimed chef, restaurateur, activist and humanitarian, Alice Waters. Both chefs generously donated proceeds from the book sales to UFC.
The UFC Pathways Edible Garden booth was a big hit and resulted in a connection between a restaurant that needs to buy produce, and the youth in our Pathways Program who created an edible garden, with the help of Linda Daly and other dedicated volunteers, at our largest apartment complex in Whittier.
Guests departed the event with special goody bags and exciting items from our silent auction including fine wines, amazing trips to the wine country, Santa Barbara and San Francisco, a private dinner for twenty by Wolfgang Puck Catering, and a private tasting in your home of the The Macallan Single Malt Whiskey range for up to twenty guests. Guests also enjoyed the exciting raffle opportunity to win a trip to Martis Camp in North Lake Tahoe.
