Housing is the most critical need for youth aging out of the foster care system. > PATHWAYS > ALUMNI SERVICES ALUMNI SERVICES An element of the Pathways Program that differs from most transitional housing programs serving foster youth is the commitment to youth beyond their tenure in the program. The Alumni Program is an important continuation of our initial investment in the youth we serve who may experience difficulties in the years after they leave transitional housing and can benefit from varying forms of financial and personal support. As the alumni population will only continue to increase, we feel this is a vital part of our work going forward. Pathways currently serves more than 100 alumni each year providing them with advocacy counseling, career development/job placement services, educational/vocational counseling and rental assistance.
