Since its inception in 1999, the Brass Ring Awards Dinner has given us an opportunity to honor individuals whose humanitarianism and commitment have put opportunity within reach of the vulnerable children in Los Angeles’ foster care system.
This year, we are thrilled to be honoring Nadine Schiff-Rosen & Fred Rosen.

Nadine Schiff-Rosen began her career as a talk show host and television reporter for the CBC, later becoming a CBS News Correspondent with the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather based in Los Angeles. She went on to a career as a film executive with Michael Douglas’ Stonebridge Entertainment, producing big budget and independent films. She has written extensively for magazines; co-authoring three non-fiction books.

She served on the Board of the California Women’s Conference lead by First Lady, Maria Shriver, co-creating the Minerva Awards, which highlighted women as agents of change in their own communities. Those Awards are now housed in the Women’s Museum in Sacramento where Nadine Schiff-Rosen served on the Board.

Currently, she serves on the Sundance Film Institute’s Board of Trustees, helping to sponsor film and writing labs for young artists in the United States and around the world. She also serves on the board of WAM, an organization committed to delivering scientific funds for research, specifically targeting the connection between women and Alzheimers.

She serves on the Board at United Friends of the Children, an organization for foster youth where she initiated and executed the Stone Canyon Crawl, an annual fundraising event dedicated to elevating marginalized youth.

Nadine Schiff-Rosen holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and an MFA in Creative Writing. She is married to Fred Rosen, the former CEO of Ticketmaster and has two grandchildren who are the loves of her life.

Fred Rosen is the President and CEO and founder of Red Carpet Home Cinema, LLC, a company that provides first-run movies to the home as a luxury product. He was the architect of Ticketmaster Corporation becoming the leading and largest computerized ticketing service in the world and served as its president and CEO from 1982 – 1997. He currently is a board member of a number of public and private companies. He serves as a board member of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts as well as being involved in many other philanthropic activities.
