Cultivate L.A. brings together the finest Los Angeles restaurants, specialty food vendors, and wine makers from throughout California. Guests are introduced to the fabulous resources Los Angeles has to offer food and wine lovers in our area. An evening of casual elegance, Cultivate L.A. celebrates the creativity, the passion, and the heart of Los Angeles.

"I'm thrilled to be an ambassador for this year's Cultivate LA event; an incredible event calling on local chefs and special guests to come together to celebrate and support foster kids in our community. Funds raised from the annual food and wine event help the kids at United Friends of the Children put their best foot forward e.g. graduate from high school, earn a bachelor’s degree, learn valuable life skills, secure a job, and find their first apartment. We raised a whopping $400,000 last year – let’s get together to smash this impressive record in 2014!"

6:00-7:00pm Sunset VIP Reception with craft cocktails and exquisite tastes offered by Brendan Collins (Waterloo & City and Larry's), Curtis Stone (Maude and Bravo Top Chef Masters), Duff Goldman (Charm City Cakes and Food Network's Ace of Cakes), Eric Greenspan (The Foundry on Melrose, The Roof on Wilshire and Greenspan's Grilled Cheese), and Ricardo Zarate (Mo-Chica, Zarate, Paiche, and Blue Tavern).
7:00-10:00pm Garden Party + Auction, featuring L.A.'s best local food and wine vendors including many from last year and plenty of new favorites!

Nearly $380,000 was raised at our 5th annual Cultivate L.A. - all to benefit the foster youth in UFC's programs. Guests enjoyed culinary treats from sixty of our favorite local food and beverage vendors as they enjoyed the outstanding views of the LA cityscape.
Chef Brendan Collins of Waterloo & City was showcased at the VIP reception with his friend Curtis Stone, Host of Top Chef Masters. Curtis also signed his new book for guests, What's for Dinner?.
The VIP reception featured a private tour of the hosts' modern art collection and Belvedere's London mixologist serving farm-to-table cocktails.
Guests also enjoyed the Cultivate L.A. auction featuring large format wines, fabulous dinner parties and wine trips.

Cultivate L.A. brought together our region's favorite restaurants, vintners, breweries and artisinal food producers in the garden of a historic Bel Air estate, raising $320,000 for foster youth. Over 600 guests enjoyed an evening under the stars while sampling L.A.'s finests tastes and mingling with celebrated local chefs including Susan Feniger of Street, Jeffrey Cerciello of Farmshop, David Lentz of Hungry Cat, and Brendan Collins of Waterloo & City.
Over 500 guests enjoyed an elegant evening under the stars at Colleen and Bradley Bell's historic Bel Air home and sampled L.A.'s finest tastes from the region's favorite restaurants, vintners, breweries, and artisanal food producers. The VIP reception featured special reserve wines from Robert Mondavi Reserve, Chateau Montelena and Capture Winery, complimented by food pairings from Brendan Collins of Waterloo & City.
Nearly 600 guests attended Cultivate L.A. this year and mixed and mingled with some of L.A.'s best food and wine vendors including celebrated local chefs like Eric Greenspan of The Foundry on Melrose and Michael McCarty of Michael's.
Heirloom guests were treated to a private cooking demonstration by Chef Brendan Collins of the exciting new restaurant Waterloo & City, wine tasting with vintners from the acclaimed Chateau Montelena Winery and conversation with noted wine expert Anthony Dias Blue.
