Other Ways to Give

United Friends of the Children empowers current and former foster youth on their journey to self-sufficiency. We rely on the support of our community to power this work. In addition to donating today, you can join our mission to improve outcomes for foster youth by providing an employer-matched gift, including United Friends in your will, or connecting us with your workplace to start a corporate partnership.

Crypto Donations

Donating cryptocurrency directly to a 501c3 nonprofit is one of the most tax-efficient way to support your favorite cause. When donating crypto, you receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the crypto, and you avoid the capital gains tax you would have incurred if you had sold the crypto and then made a donation. You’re able to donate more and deduct more on your tax return.

Double or Triple Your Donation With Employer Matching Gifts

Many companies match employees’, retirees’, and employees’ spouses’ donations to nonprofits. With a matching gift, your donation to United Friends of the Children may be doubled or tripled in value! This is a fantastic way to maximize the impact of your personal contribution.

Contact your Human Resources department to ask if your employer has a matching program.

Corporate Partnerships

United Friends of the Children provides our corporate partners with an amazing opportunity to align with our mission of increasing the chances of success for current and former foster youth.

We will work closely with you to develop mission-aligned, mutually beneficial, custom engagement, and fundraising campaigns for your company and employees.

To connect on corporate sponsorship opportunities, please contact us at info@unitedfriend.org.

Legacy Giving

Legacy giving is a great way to leave a lasting impact on the movement to empower current and former foster youth on their journey to self-sufficiency.

Remembering United Friends of the Children in your will is a powerful way to leave a meaningful legacy for foster youth and may also have tax benefits. You can also leave a legacy by naming United Friends of the Children as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement plan (such as IRA or 401(k) plan). Of course, your personal financial situation is unique, so you should be sure to talk to your financial or legal advisor before making a bequest or creating a legacy. Please reach out to us at info@unitedfriends.org to learn more.

Stock Donations

Donating stock directly allows you to give more. Stock donations vs. selling stock and then donating cash can save you money. Avoid capital gains tax and earn bigger tax savings. This method makes your stock gift to foster youth go further.

United Friends of the Children has partnered with DonateStock.com to make donating stock simple. Their services allow you to donate from your brokerage account directly to us with a secure, free, and fast method.
