UFC has a new President & CEO, Kara Allen Soldati

We are thrilled to announce the selection of Kara Allen Soldati as the new President and CEO of UFC, beginning February 8, 2016. Kara has dedicated her academic and professional life to supporting and developing organizations and people that help meet the needs of children, families, and communities in historically under-resourced areas.

Kara Allen Soldati, MSW, Ed.D

Doctorate, Educational Leadership for Social Justice, Loyola Marymount University
Master of Social Work, University of Southern California
Bachelor’s Degree, Purdue University

 

Most recently, Kara has served families in Los Angeles and the Bay Area as the Executive Director of CoachArt where she focused on creating inclusive learning communities for families battling childhood chronic illness. Kara is also honored to be a current Pahara Institute – NextGen Fellow.

Prior to CoachArt, Kara served as the Chief Operating Officer of a large out-of-school-time provider in Southern California and worked and researched in both Uganda and Haiti. She also served as a Graduate School Fellow with Education Pioneers before joining the Education Pioneers team in Los Angeles. Kara was the Founding Program Director of C5 New England but truly realized her passion for the intersections of education in pursuit of uplifting individuals and communities after serving as a Special Education teacher in Oakland, California.

Kara lives in Northeast Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
