Honoring the Brass Ring Award Recipients: Jaye Toellner Rogovin & John Rogovin
We are proud to honor Jaye and John Rogovin for being steadfast champions of foster youth in Los Angeles for more than a decade. Jaye, United Friends’ former Board Co-Chair, has brought nearly 20 years of civic leadership to causes across Los Angeles, with a deep commitment to youth in foster care. John, General Counsel at ByteDance, has been a dedicated partner in this work, standing alongside Jaye in their shared mission to uplift and support young people transitioning out of care. Together, the Rogovins have played a pivotal role in advancing United Friends’ mission, and their leadership continues to inspire our entire community.

Honoring the Nancy Daly Award Recipient: Preston Brooks
We are proud to honor Preston Brooks, who is a longtime advocate for foster youth and a committed leader at United Friends. A Partner at Cox Castle and Chair of the firm’s Environmental Team, Preston has been involved with UFC for more than ten years, including his time as Board Co-Chair. Known for his steady and thoughtful leadership, Preston has helped guide the organization through key moments of growth. His unwavering support has made a lasting impact on United Friends and continues to open doors for youth on their path to independence.

Our Host: Sheroum Kim
Sheroum Kim is an accomplished film producer and studio executive, known for her leadership in overseeing major projects like American Sniper, Hustlers, and The Edge of Seventeen. In 2016, she was recognized by The Hollywood Reporter as one of its Next Gen execs, spotlighting rising stars in the entertainment industry under 35. In 2019, Sheroum joined Netflix and has since curated a slate of highly successful films, particularly in the young adult, holiday, and faith-based genres. Her projects include the popular To All the Boys franchise, Love Hard, Holidate, Work It, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. Beyond her career in entertainment, Sheroum is deeply passionate about supporting foster youth. As a foster-to-adopt parent herself, she actively collaborates with philanthropic organizations to mentor and uplift children and families in the foster care system. Her dedication to making a difference in their lives is a testament to her commitment to creating positive change both on and off the screen.
