Kacy joined United Friends’ Scholars program in 2019. Intellectual and kind, she began her 11th-grade year during the height of the pandemic—a time that brought overwhelming change and uncertainty.

The transition to online learning was difficult. She struggled, failed several classes, and started to lose motivation. However, with consistent support from her counselor and her own determination to keep going, she got back on track.

She graduated from high school and is now enrolled in college, pursuing her dream of becoming a psychologist. Today, she continues to grow her confidence and independence with each step forward.

Her journey is a powerful reminder of why College with Care matters. Foster youth deserve the chance to thrive, no matter the obstacles. 💙
