Meet Pathways Alumna Celestina
Monday, November 23rd, 2020

When Celestina became a Pathways resident, she had just emancipated from foster care and was struggling with severe anxiety and depression. While in Pathways, she began therapy and her mental health improved. She also started a savings account by working part-time and full-time jobs, all while attending school full time. Celestina was a large part of the Pathways community where she attended all life skills workshops and events. She advocated for other youth in the program and connected with residents, creating a strong community. Celestina worked so well with youth in Pathways, that she decided to go beyond and partner with another agency’s homeless services program to help even more young people. After graduating from Pathways, she found stable housing. Celestina is now completing her final semester at Cerritos Community College and will soon be transferring to a 4-year university. We are so proud of everything Celestina has and will continue to accomplish!
