New Budget to Help College Foster Students

A state budget has been implemented that expands college foster youth support by $48 million. According to John Burton Advocated for Youth, this new state budget includes provisions aimed at helping foster youth in their educational pursuits. They include funding for programs for justice-involved students, an additional $10 million for community college rapid rehousing programs, and funding for basic needs services at community colleges and CSUs.
