“February 22, 2012, during the middle of freshman year, was such a memorable day for me. It was the day I received my first birthday card from UFC, and it was the moment when I was reminded – I am cared for. Since then, and to this day, United Friends of the Children has been by my side and in my heart.  They are not just an organization…they are my family.”

-Ramiro, Cal Poly Pomona Graduate and Brass Ring Youth Speaker

The live auction with Vanessa Thanos featured incredible trips with Delta Air Lines tickets
to Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica, Montego Bay, Jamaica, Sun Valley, Idaho and Twin Farms Resort in Vermont as well as a Wolfgang Puck Chefs Dinner for 20 and an Ultimate Sports Fan package with tickets to the NBA Finals 2017, NFL Draft 2017 and Dodger Dugout Club.

Wendy Meyer presented Polly Williams with the Nancy M. Daly Founder’s Award. An emotional moment followed on stage with the UFC staff recognizing Polly’s 15 years of service and dedication to foster youth living in Los Angeles. Sherry Lansing presented Senator Dodd with the Brass Ring Award. Senator Dodd, also known as the “Children’s Senator” was recognized with an entertaining video tribute from Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the set of HBO’s hit show Veep.

A BIG THANK YOU to our incredible Brass Ring Event Chair Jaye Rogovin and all the generous supporters who helped make the evening such a success!
