“Hi! My name is Dr. La Shawn, and I’m honored to join UFC as the Program Manager. I bring over 25 years of experience in education, having served as both a teacher and an administrator. I hold a doctorate in educational leadership and have spent my career designing programs that are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and equity centered. I’m deeply passionate about empowering youth—especially those impacted by foster care and systemic inequities to thrive emotionally, academically, and professionally. Outside of work, I’m an avid traveler, live music enthusiast, passionate reader, and committed to giving back through community service.”
