Laura Jane Kessner is currently an attorney specializing in civil litigation. She previously served as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for over thirty years, where she prosecuted complex homicide and sex crimes cases.  She also served in the role of the Director of Central Operations, managing attorneys and staff across Los Angeles County and also as Acting Assistant District Attorney, leading a gender equity assessment on behalf of the District Attorney’s Office.

In addition to her work with UFC, Laura Jane is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, started two Girl Scout troops with 30 scouts and has mentored Culver City scouts pursuing the highest awards for over a decade. She currently is the Vice-President of the Culver City Friends of the Library and is a member of the Culver City Education Foundation Board.
