Laura Jane Kessner is currently an attorney with David Weiss Law specializing in employment and civil rights litigation.  She previously served as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted complex homicide and sex crimes cases.  She also served in the role of the Director of Central Operations, managing attorneys and staff across Los Angeles County.

Laura Jane graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in History.  She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and was a member of the Loyola Law Review.  

In addition to her work supporting United Friends of the Children, Laura Jane is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s State Appellate Judicial Evaluation Committee.  Laura Jane is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and is a long-time supporter of the Junior League of Los Angeles.  In her spare time, Laura Jane enjoys practicing yoga, learning ballet, reading books, spending time with her husband and cats, and dreams of becoming fluent in French.
