Students transition back to in-person learning
Wednesday, September 29th, 2021

Recently UFC alumni Carolina Wolf and our education staff teamed up to facilitate a workshop to equip our education foster students for the transition back to full-time, in-person learning. The time allowed for deep reflection on the past 17 months of remote and hybrid learning. Staff provided advice and tools to improve time management and assist youth with re-establishing pre-pandemic routines such as good sleep and rest, morning routines, and completing school work on time.

In addition, our college counselors have been hosting virtual orientations to help our college students understand the UFC support and services available to them during their college careers. College counselors have also gone shopping with youth both virtually and in person, for school and dorm supplies. Each college scholar received a target gift card for their shopping trips.
