This past Saturday, our education program staff led the 6th-12th grade scholars through our annual “New Year, New Goals” event. The workshop allowed youth to explore what it means to “dream big” and turn a “dream” into a “goal” by creating a S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) goal. Afterward, our middle and high school youth spent time creating their own S.M.A.R.T. goals and then shared them with their counselors. Youth also explored how to handle stress and anxiety that they may encounter as they work toward those goals throughout the year.
